Join us October 14th-18th for Utica Institute Heritage Week, as we gather friends and alumni together to celebrate the legacy of Utica! The campus has planned a full slate of events, including the coronation of Mr. and Miss Utica and the traditional tailgate. We hope you will join us for the week’s activities!
3D Aquaponics Workshop Signup
In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to 3D print your own home aquaponics garden. The session opens with brief talks by Utica Campus agriculture instructor Dr. Karla Turner-Bailey on how aquaponics are used on today’s farms, followed by a demonstration of 3D printing technology by Fablab specialist Jeremy Holmes. We will then assemble our own aquaponics gardens. Free kits available for the first 12 to register.
Secrets of Utica Bus Tour
Join us on Tuesday, October 15th at 3pm for a Secrets of Utica bus tour for community members and alumni. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at what’s happening on campus, and we’ll show you some historic places in the Town of Utica. You’ll also learn about all of the exciting things happening downtown with Sipp Culture. Join us for great info, good conversation, and a delicious slice of the best pizza in Central Mississippi from Utica’s own Dominique’s Pizza. Reserve your spot on the bus here!
